Asbestos Removal
Asbestos is the name given to a hazardous group of fibrous materials which, before it was realised that it can be potential fatal, was commonly used in the industry trade, mainly between 1900-1970's.
Once it was found to be hazardous, manufacturing of the product was ceased immediately and has since become a controlled substance.
The reality is that if you were to ask most builders if they have worked with Asbestos they would say no. Unfortunately this is not the case as most of the time people are unaware of its' presence.
This is why before undertaking any roofing or building works, a full survey will always be carried out, which will include a report on Asbestos presence.
Our staff are trained to recognise the different types of Asbestos so we are able to fully evaluate whether it poses as a risk, or whether we simply need to be aware of its' presence. Either way, if you decide to have it removed we are fully approved to handle such materials, which will then be disposed of via a fully licensed carrier.
Dangers of Asbestos
Although it is widely known that Asbestos is a very hazardous material, you must remember that it is only dangerous if it is disturbed, broken or handled incorrectly.
This is why our staff undertake annual training to ensure that it can be removed safely conforming to all Health and Safety regulations.
